Don’t injure yourself, that would be stupid.  You’ve neglected your fitness for a while, so it is important to start slow.  Get a warmup in before you hit the weights, and wrap up a session with some deep static stretching. 


Rotator Cuff

I will address this with some exercises,  but pay special attention to your rotator cuff as this is a common area if injury due to the instability of the shoulder joint.
